C\u2019est dans un monde en mutation effr\u00e9n\u00e9e qu\u2019\u00e0 grandit Kurar.<\/p>\n
Une inspiration naturelle dans un travail qui pose un regard doux et critique sur les travers d\u2019une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 qui avance peut-\u00eatre trop vite et o\u00f9 un climat social et politique de plus en plus tendu s\u2019impose.<\/p>\n
Notre quotidien est riche\u2026 Le flux d\u2019images de plus en plus rapide, la banalisation des \u00e9v\u00e8nements toujours plus accrue et une mondialisation qui en tous sens semble \u00eatre devenue irr\u00e9versible. Une source d\u2019observation que diss\u00e8que Kurar dans un travail minutieux qui \u00e9volue en parall\u00e8le de notre quotidien.<\/p>\n
C\u2019est parce que nous devons savoir d\u2019o\u00f9 nous venons pour comprendre le pr\u00e9sent et orienter notre futur que l\u2019esth\u00e9tique de Kurar utilise la douceur des images d\u2019une enfance du d\u00e9but du si\u00e8cle dernier. Cette douceur contraste puissamment avec des images crues d\u2019une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 sociale actuelle qui aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 inimaginable il y a 100 ans.<\/p>\n
Est-ce que c\u2019est parce que notre g\u00e9n\u00e9ration est \u00e9touff\u00e9e par des injustices sur lesquelles elle ne peut plus agir ou est-ce parce que les m\u00e9dias nous forcent \u00e0 ne plus entrevoir assez d\u2019espace pour r\u00eaver d\u2019un futur meilleur ?<\/p>\n
Quoi qu\u2019il en soit, Kurar nous propose des contrastes qui mettent en miroir les libert\u00e9s offertes ou supprim\u00e9es et le(s) prix d\u2019une vie dans un monde qui la soumet implacablement \u00e0 son rythme.<\/p>\n
Kurar nous laisse le champ\u2026<\/p>\n
Le champ pour retrouver notre esprit critique, pour comprendre ce que nous \u00e9tions et ce \u00e0 quoi nous appartenons. Il nous propose de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 la direction que prend notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 travers des images qui ne veulent pas simplement nous bousculer mais qui nous font comprendre que notre libert\u00e9 de r\u00eaver existe et que de ces r\u00eaves, nous pouvons \u00e0 nouveau changer notre monde.<\/p>\n

<\/i><\/p>\n
<\/i>Kurar grew up in a furiously fast-changing world.<\/i><\/p>\n
A natural inspiration for a work that takes a kind yet critical look at the failings of a society advancing too fast perhaps, or one dominated by increasingly strained social and political tensions.<\/i><\/p>\n
Our daily life is rich. The stream of ever faster images, ever more intense events that have become part of everyday life and a globalization that now appears irreversible in every sense. A source of observation that Kurar dissects in meticulous work that evolves in parallel with our everyday existence.<\/i><\/p>\n
It is because we have to know where we come from, in order to understand the present and guide our future, that Kurar\u2019s aesthetics use the gentleness of images of a childhood at the start of the last century. This gentleness provides a powerful contrast to the crude images of a present social reality that would have been unimaginable 100 years ago.<\/i><\/p>\n
Is it because our generation is subdued by the injustices we can no longer put right, or is it because the media force on us a narrower vision of a better?<\/i><\/p>\n
Be that as it may, KURAR brings us contrasts that mirror freedoms given or taken away and the price(s) of life in a world that has implacably stamped its pace on us.<\/i><\/p>\n
Kurar leaves us a clear field.<\/i><\/p>\n
A field where we can reclaim our critical faculty, to understand what we were and to what we belong. He proposes that we reflect on where our society is heading, through images that are there not just to shake us up, but to make us understand that our freedom to dream exists, and from those dreams we can once again change our world.<\/i><\/p>\n
The world of a century ago is no more. What world will it be in a hundred years?<\/i><\/p>\n
KURAR give us a direction, it is up to us to make it a path.<\/i><\/p>\n
